Russia’s Manufacturing PMI rises to 52.4 in May

MOSCOW, Jun 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) grew to 52.4 in May from 50.8 in April, marking an overall expansion of the sector for a tenth consecutive month, researcher Markit said in a statement on Thursday.

New orders and output increased at a solid rate in spite of a slight decline in new export orders. The input and output prices grew as well. Employment contracted for the third month in a row.
